I make my face masks from multiple layers of cotton sari fabric that’s hand quilted, then lined with two layers of cotton. The tight weave is semi-impermeable that provides protection and breathability. An interior pocket is also sewn inside to offer space to insert filters for another barrier for further protection. They fit well to your face with a metal band above the nose and elastic straps to comfortably fit you. These masks are  washable and reusable, and designed to meet the medical standards in an effort to support the prevention of the spread of COVID-19.

Standard size fits most, measuring 5 1/2" from nose to chin and 9" across.  There's an elastic band around the top to help hold the mask close to your face with a wire above the nose to pinch to the shape of your face.  The bottom of the mask has a stretch cord that ties and will slip over your head while remaining tied.

Care:  Hand or machine wash and air dry.

Cotton kantha face masks

    • Machine washable for reuse. Any additional filters should be removed from interior pockets and discarded or washed separately depending on use.
    • Wash before wearing and wash with detergent in warm to hot water, dry on medium to high heat.
    • Avoid bleach and boiling temperatures to preserve elastic and extend the lifespan of the mask.
    • For use, insert any clean filter into the interior pocket of a clean mask. Masks and filters should be washed separately after each exposure.
